Quote
“He sees me when I’m sleeping.” (God – not that other guy)
Quip
While kneeling beside her bed, the little girl attempted to impress her mother by quoting a passage of Scripture as part of her nightly prayer. In a reverent voice she whispered, “Our Father Who art in Heaven, how do you know my name?”
There are an endless number of things that should make you feel in awe of God, but perhaps none is more powerful than the realization that He cares for you personally. He knows your name, your address, and even the number of hairs on your head. God knows and loves you more than you know and love yourself.
Question
Do you ever feel alone? Why?
Devotional
Matthew 18:10 (NIV) “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.”
If “little ones” have angels that are always in the presence of God, what does that say about the special attention God gives them?
Q: Do we lose our angel when we become adults?
A: Perhaps, but not in the way you might think. By definition, an angel is a messenger. When a person grows old enough to acknowledge sin and accept the Savior, they receive a direct line to the throne of God. Jesus, Himself, becomes our Mediator. Study 1 Timothy 2:5.
