It had been a very long day. The mother was in the middle of cooking supper, washing the dishes, and doing the laundry when her five-year-old stuck his head around the corner.
“Mom, when you get married, does that make you pregnant?”
“No, Honey, getting married does not make you pregnant.”
“Well, how do you get pregnant?” persisted the little boy.
Getting into a Q&A session about pregnancy with a preschooler was not high on her list at that point in the day, so the mother said, “Sweetheart, it’s kind of a long story.”
The little boy scrunched up his face and, as he disappeared around the corner, he said, “You don’t know either, do you?”

Genesis 2:24 (NIV) ” …a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.”
Think of it. God allows us to share in the creative process. While we cannot truly create, the ability to pass along life is overwhelming. Treasure it!
