The sunrise was brilliant! I was drawn to it. When I looked at the horizon, the light was so bright I was forced to look away. I found myself taking quick glances, then turning my head. It was a sight too Continue reading Window Watching 4

The Unity
During the last day of Vacation Bible School, the five-year-old class was interrupted by the arrival of a new student. This little boy had only one arm and all the children stared at him as he took a seat.
The teacher looked nervously around the room and prayed that no one would comment about the little boy’s handicap. She hurriedly Continue reading The Unity

Since there would be several minutes before I would be introduced to speak, I volunteered to take him out. We both took advantage of our visit to the restroom, then returned to our seats.
Several minutes later, I was ushered onto the stage. In keeping with the traditionally correct standards of most churches, it has always been my custom to wear a suit jacket on Sunday morning and for at Continue reading All Tucked In
Happy Birthday, America
Happy birthday to this land
From mountain peaks to coastal sand,
From pilgrims brave to astronauts
The joy of freedom fills our thoughts.
With pride we claim this land of ours.
But then our eyes turn to the stars.
The hand of God has brought us here

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but don’t ever forget, it is the quiet time alone with God that feeds the soul. If you must skip one, skip breakfast.
It has been my custom to get up early each morning and stand before a window to enjoy the sunrise with my Father. The day brightens slowly, then comes the highlight of my morning. The sun Continue reading Window Watching 1
